NEW DELHI: The screening of a controversial documentary f i lm Ja shn - e - A z adi at the Department of Sociology, Delhi University, met resistance from the students’ political body ABVP. The show had been organised by All India Students’ Association (AISA) and was a part of the academic activity of the sociology department. The ABVP activists who p r o t e s t e d outsid e the depart m e n t a l l e g e d t hat screening of such controversial films in the university campus would harm the communal harmony among the students’ c o m m u n i t y. “ T h e f i l m showcased that the Army is a villain and a terrorist is a friend. It has also put the Kashmiri pandits in a bad light. We demanded that the screening of such controversial films be stopped,” said ABVP State secretary Rohit Chahal.
