Mu m b a i - b a s e d a c t i v i s t Teesta Setalvad’s one time associate Rais Khan Pathan has once gain omplained that she is threatening and pressurising him for a compromise. Pathan, who was the oordinator of Citizens for Justice a n d P e a c e ( C J P ) w h i c h espoused the cause of the 2002 riot ictims, was removed by Teesta in 2008 in the wake of his revelations against her. In a letter to the N a n Commission probi n g t h e G o d h r a train inferno and the riots thereafter, Pathan has said, “I am eing continuously pressurized and threatened to compromise with Ms Teesta Setalvad.” He has also odged a similar complaint with the city Police Commissioner regarding the matter, Pathan told the wojudge commission comprising Justice GT Nanavati and Justice Akshay Mehta. Pathan urged the ommission to take necessary action in view of the threats he has received from Setalvad. The letter also nformed the commission that a transcript of conversations he has submitted to the Supreme Court roves beyond doubt that affidavits were fabricated, witnesses were tutored and false cases were got iled by Teesta Setalvad with ulterior motive. The transcripts Pathan had submitted to the Supreme Court in response to a petition by Teesta pertain to conv e r s a t i o n s between retired Additional DGP RB e e kuma r, S a f d a r Ank l e shwar i y a , brother-in-law of slain MP Ehsan Jafri, a Gulbarg S o c i e t y F e r o z e K h a n P a t h a n a n d Teesta’s close confidant Saiyeed Khan Pathan. He had recorded hese conversations which would prove his allegations that Teesta had fabricated the affidavits and utored witnesses, Rais Khan Pathan wrote in his letter to the Commission.
